About Jacob C. Stanton

Jacob is a seventh-generation Missourian and grew up working at both Cassell Real Estate and on the Cassell family farm. He graduated from Marshall High School (Marshall, Missouri) as the valedictorian, and went on to attend the University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame, Indiana). Jacob graduated from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business with a B.B.A. in finance and economics with a certificate in international business. He spent a term studying at University College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland), Ireland’s largest university.

Jacob began his career as analyst at Capital Automotive Real Estate Services, Inc. (CARS), a $5 billion REIT focused on providing sale-leaseback capital to the retail automotive industry. He assisted in the launch of Capital Automotive Financial, LLC, a fund offering private equity solutions to automotive dealers seeking to grow their dealership groups.  He then transitioned into a relationship management role with CARS, where he assisted in sourcing and underwriting over $300 million in acquisitions in one year alone. In 2019, he joined AutoCanada’s U.S. Operations management team as Director of Financial Operations, responsible for financial strategy for a nine-store dealership group with nearly $400 million in revenues.

Jacob is a member of board of directors of the Jubilee Initiative for Financial Inclusion, Inc. (JIFFI), a non-profit he co-founded in South Bend, Indiana. He also serves on the Ireland Advisory Council for the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at the University Notre Dame. 

When not working, Jacob enjoys traveling, both throughout the U.S. and internationally; studying history, politics, and economics; visiting art museums; and trying new cuisines.
